Default Trying to find name of music from BBC The Planets episode.

Hello,

My son is trying to find the name of a piece of music from an episode of The Planets shown on the BBC. I have uploaded the clip to youtube.

youtu.be/3NqZ5mEUfVY

He has tried contacting the person who did the soundtrack for the show but all he could tell my son was that it was a French artist.

The full episode is on Daily Motion.

dailymotion.com/video/x1k3k7j_bbc-the-planets-6-of-8-atmosphere_tech

The piece of music plays from 43:11 - 45:31.

Apologies if this is off topic or for anything that may have broken forum rules. I have read them but just in case.

Thanks a lot.

Steve.

Could be Jean Michael Jarre, but that's just a guess based on the composition and the fact that the artist is French.

I wondered that. Been through some of his tracks on youtube but no luck so far, but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks. Yes, the credits mention "Original Music Jim Meacock" but the part we're trying to find is not one of the pieces done by Jim Meacock unfortunately.

That type of music is categorized as Ambient, Atmosphere, Meditation, New Age, and Relaxation. So to find it, would have to do searches for French artists that released that sort of music at that time and before.

discogs might help
