Default Identify old novelty song about "plastic"?

There is an old song about plastic I heard an old-timer do. He was doing it from memory, but could not remember where he had gotten it.

It is more in the pop genre. Simple and sung at a fairly slow pace. My guess is it must have come out between 1940 and 1965

All I know is that part of the lyrics are something like this:

"They’re using plastic now a days to make most everything.
From momma’s set of china ware to the baby’s teething ring.
You understand that it won’t break
and I believe I’m smart,
that it might pay me to have a plastic heart"

Update:

Found it with a few more lines from the singer: Carl Butler - Plastic Heart
