Trying to Find a New Age/Celtic Song
Hi there! Would greatly appreciate any help finding the name/artist of a song I first heard on a new age/Celtic compilation(?) album that I listened to at some point in the late 90s, possibly very early 2000s. I'm unsure of the music's country of origin, but I know the album was released in the US, probably in the mid-to-late 90s.
The song was instrumental for the most part, with one section involving a woman saying "obsession" or "passion" or something similar over a downtempo stretch in the music (there might have been other words as well). Another section featured a female vocalist singing an upbeat melody in "la"s over what sounded like an electric guitar. The style of music was reminiscent of Enigma, but I've sampled about three dozen of their songs and have yet to come across the one I'm looking for. One thing I can confirm is that the song is NOT Pale Movie by Saint Etienne. As I said, I think I heard it on a compilation album featuring different artists. I would've bet money it was from one of the Pure Moods collections, but I went through the track list for every volume in that series I could find and had no luck at all. Apologies for offering so little to go on; these are all the details I can recall as this tune has been periodically popping into my head for over a decade. Thanks in advance for any help! |
