need help finding this song
 

Hi, I've been trying to find a song me and one of my best friends used to listen to when we where in our teens, i only remember some of the lyrics and after search about on google and other lyric finding sites i'm at a loss.

So the lyrics went something like this
"saw it from my window, i had to get away now, some where deep and dark, i know it's my mistake to throw away our love like that, and june becomes july"

It was sung my a male vocal artist. and i think the genre was rock, we had the song from a compilation album with many different artist, i've tried to search for the album i's self but again i can't for the life of me remembers what it was called.

that's all i can remember so if anyone could shed some light on this for me it would be greatly appreciated



After no response on here i spent the best part of a week searching non-stop (even at work when i was meant to be working) and finally found the song my self, it's Ocean Colour Scene - "July" so thanks music banter for not helping me out in any way shape or form. will just stick to searching my self in the future.
