Song with (old man) chanting in background?
I recently heard this one on the radio, but unfortunately wasn't able to catch any of the lyrics. I don't think it's very lyric heavy.
It was a fairly slow-paced, soothing, relaxing, almost trance-like song. The main instrument seemed to be synthesizer(s), though a piano came in later on. There was an old man (African or Native American?) who would chant something that sounded like "Hey" or "Way" a few times before ending with something like "Oh wah" or "Wo mah." If I play the song in my head, each of his chants are spaced apart by about 3-4 seconds. I also want to say that he chants Hey/Way about 3 times before finishing with Oh wah/Wo mah, but I could be slightly off. There was also younger singer (male) who came in once or twice before/after the old man and sang what sounded like regular verses. However, he sang fairly low--almost in a whisper--therefore it was difficult to make out what he was saying. It almost had an Enigma or Enya vibe to it, but after browsing their songs I've yet to come across it, so it may be from a different band. It also sounded modern, though it could be from the 90s. I've also heard the song before, so I don't think it's very obscure. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me identify it! Last edited by Chubzdoomer; 04-20-2015 at 12:14 AM. |
