Trying to find this song from, the 70's?

I've heard this song on classic rock stations occasionally, but really don't ever hear the title or artist. It's got a slow tempo to it, and as far as the lyrics are concerned, towards the end of the song they repeat the chorus "and I know you'll change, and I know you went away". Sorry, but that's all I have. I would love to add this song to my collection. Thanks.

I've tried to find this song using a website where you can enter the lyrics and it will search for matching songs. It came up with Earth, Wind and Fire - 'You Went Away'. I don't think it's the song you're looking for, but you never know right?!

Checked that one out - it's not what I was looking for. Very sad - I may have to call the local oldies station and attempt to sing the chorus for them. As long as they don't hang up on me for my terrible voice.
