The Chain
For a bit of fun, and unashamedly nicked from the Radcliffe & Maconie show on Radio 2.
Basically, an attempt to form the biggest ever chain of thematically linked records. I've started it off with Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain". What you have to do is come up with a record that has a link to it, whether it be obvious or obscure. Once someone has posted a song that has a link to the Fleetwood mac one, then another forum member has to find another song with a link to that one, and so on and so on. How well can we do? The only rules are:- 1 - Your chosen song must be a bona fide single or album track 2 - You must number your selection (ie. The Chain #41 - Artist and Title" 3 - An explanation of how that selection links to the previous one 4 - You cannot make two selections in a row. Once you make a selection, it's up to any other forum member to follow it up. Apart from a bit of fun, it may also have us seeking out tunes we otherwise may never have listened to. Over to you - THE CHAIN #1 Fleetwood Mac - "The Chain" from the album "Rumours" in 1977 |

They sing about never breaking the chain but I picked my song because he talks about breaking the chain and how it is good for you, especially mental chains.
Break The Chain #2 Lupe Fiasco Feat. Eric Turner & Sway - "Break The Chain" from the album "Lasers" in 2011.

Previous song talks about breaking the chain. Jibbs talks about wearing his chain, and he'll break yours if you wear it around him.
Chain Hang Low #3 Jibbs - "Chain Hang Low", from Jibbs' 2007, debut album, "Jibbs featuring Jibbs". |
