I feel like I knew this because I went searching for videos of "Motorcycle Mama" (Sailcat) because I felt like I'd seen his face on a minimal, kitschy sort-of quiet track from the 70s, but came up with nothing and totally forgot about "Jeans On".

Now I'm just trying to find where the image came from, but the more I look, the more he looks completely unmistakable.

Yeah, I heard about that guy. Total creeper!

Anyway Mystery Babe turned out to be a musician known simply as Brendan.

"Gimme Some" only climbed to #14 that year, and he also covered ABBA's "Rock Me", which (while groovy) failed to chart. He's now part of a duo called Simple Country Folk, I guess. I don't care enough to research that, I'm just glad the mystery was put to rest.

so I was right? The busted grill of his indicating that he was British?

Yeah, but it's not just the teeth.

Furthermore the girl who spotted him in the doc lives in England and saw it on cable so I sort of had a hunch there.

Wait, are you sure? I just keep finding photos and videos of a dude who looks similar but his hair is nowhere near as lush as this.
Hold on for a minute before you start feeling megatard.
Imo it doesn't look like David Dunas (I don't know about him until now) but anyway I looked up him up on Google image and unless David Dunas had a nose job or something it's probably not him.

Yeah, I really had to look at David for a long time and I knew it wasn't him. We didn't stop looking. I finally posted the pic on (no surprise here) a Sparks fan group I'm part of on Facebook and someone identified him (and posted the video).

I figured someone there would have been able to ID him (loads of these older fans grew up watching ToTP and know their glam/70s pop).
