Name of this 70's RnB song. . .
I can only describe it as a mellow disco song w/ a bit of funk guitar and bass. A prominent flute throughout the entire thing. The flute is not annoying but smooth and happy almost like elevator music. I know that it is NOT Barry White's or Marvin Gaye's voice, but it's male. He sounds a bit like the lead singer from Earth Wind, and Fire but unsure if that's them. It does not sound like their typical work.
The notes in the flute melody are as follows: C E C E F# C B# B C G# C B C Thanks in advance. |
Sounds like a million seventies motown/soul songs. How about lyrics or any other information?

Thanks for the reply, Trollheart. Now that you mention it I guess it DOES sound like my description is vague, HOWEVER if someone has a woodwind and plays those notes with in a medium/fast tempo and brief pause after the 7th note I will bet that it will become OBVIOUS. Maybe even on a piano if you can imagine it is a flute instead.
There are some half notes in those 13 notes I am sure. Here's is my attempt to describe them: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd notes seem to be half notes 4th and 5th are stacatto 6th and 7th are whole notes >brief pause< 8th, 9th, and 10th are half notes 11th and 12th are whole notes and 13th is half This is probably NOT the key the song is in, but it's the one my brain remembers it in. It should be recognizable in any key just as any other song is, though. *crossing fingers* someone gets it. |
