Default Christmas song

It's been awhile since I've heard it, so details are a bit sketchy. What I do remember is that it seemed to be sung by someone like Bing Crosby or someone from that era, and it I'm almost certain it's a traditional song of some kind. One key thing is that it wasn't "jolly" or anything. It seemed quite somber, and the chorus seemed to get higher and higher. I wish I knew the technical term for that, but I don't... yet. I also think there was a bell, but only once in awhile.

Oh my god it is. -_- The part I like (mentioned) starts around 1:00. I never got to that part. I think when I heard the first 30 or so seconds in my original search, I figured, "Yeah, I know this song well. Definitely not it." Thaaaaaaank you!
