Default PLEASE HELP me find out what this song is!! I'm desperate!!

....I'm going nuts. Can't find it on the internet. I heard it in Starbucks like 10 times recently. Starbucks staff wasn't helpful. I even emailed Starbucks.....no reply.

It's a female vocalist, pedal steel guitar and an electric 12-string, in the key of C# major (I have perfect pitch). I CANNOT make out the lyrics too well aside from "as long as we're together" because Starbucks is always so noisy.

Please people, I'm desperate to find out this song. Help me.

the vocals begin with a cadence like this.

DO-do, Do-do, Do-do, Do-do DO-DO DOOOOOO.

You will be my best friend for ever if you help me find this song. Ive NEVER had such difficulty finding out the name of a song in my entire life.

I'm not bloody surprised! You've got NOTHING to go on, save one snatch of lyric which, let's face it, could be in a million songs, and if you think anyone is going to be able to get this from a phonetic description of the tune, well, good luck!

Really, we're not all miracle workers here, you know.

Uhh, the Great Divide by Cardigans?

Apparently both Blessid Union of Souls and Johan Becker did songs by that name.

Edit: Some of the lyrics you mentioned match a White Stripes song, but that's no female singer, twelve-string guitar, or C# (as far as I know). Still, see if it's the Air Near my Fingers by the White Stripes.
