Looking for song about sleepy gnome

Ok an oldies station I use to listen to played a song about a sleepy gnome on a knoll sipping wine watching the clouds or something like that. It has been driving me crazy for years that I can't find it.. My wife thinks I am nuts.. I hope some one knows what song this is so I can prove to my wife I am not nuts.

It's not Pink Floyds "The Gnome" is it? For some reason though Leonard Nimoys "Bilbo Baggins" popped directly to mind though :)

It is not either of those ... It may have been a song from the late 50's or 60's..
