Hey, I was right about you. We have lot in common from what I see in your Last.fm thingy. Too bad I don't have one to show you as well! Maybe I'll make one soon.

Anything fun is a plus with me, but I'll settle for just whatever you're digging at the moment. There is really no need to overthink anything here.

It's either Sister or Murray Street for me in terms of Sonic Youth albums. :)

Damn right you can dance to Shoegaze!
I love that Sonic Youth album, but my favourite has to be "Murray Street". Anyway, as for music i like to listen to- there is really too much to mention. Here is my last fm library (this seems easier- also it is by no means exhaustive):

I'll try to think of some music to recommend to you- you mentioned you like fun pop music? Anything else?

Anyway, you are being friended because i think you are alright by me:-)

Btw, what kind of bands/artists are you into anyway?

I'm always looking for good stuff, so send em my way if you find anything tasty.

Oh, don't get the wrong impression! I actually like a lot of shoegaze, and I know people don't listen to it to get their groove on and such. The joke was mostly aimed at the cliché perception of dudes gazin' at their feet-ware! I love me some swirling, droning, slow-grinding, lush melodies on guitars like anyone else.

FYI: You totally can dance to shoegaze!

I mean, sure you'll look ridiculous. But so long as you have the courage... the passion... and determination... you can do anything. Even dance to shoegaze. :P It sounds like you may already do this though, so kudos to you for trying, and being fun.

I used to tell people that I got my name off of the cover of Sonic Youth's album Dirty...Which is a total lie, but at the time "Wish Fulfillment" was one of my favorite songs, so I thought why not. I just think "SockPerson" is somewhat original and catchy, so I use it sometimes.

It's not for me to say whether i can dance or not, but i do my best:-) As for shoegaze, you are missing the point- its not for dancing, its for....er, other stuff.
My name isn't from the band Salome (though they are pretty good) , its from an Elysian Fields song. And the biblical character who demanded John the Baptist's head on a silver dish. Thats what you get when you choose your forum name at 2am while inebriated! Care to explain the significance of SockPerson?

I see you're in "Shoegazers Unite!"

Shoegaze...Does this mean you don't know how to dance? Haha. Is your name from the band Salomé? I only have a couple tracks from some old mix, but they're pretty cool.
