I try and rate them with a mix of enjoyment and how good I think they are. I've enjoyed some sh*t films, because they're under the 'so bad it's good' category, but they're still badly made. The only Danny Boyle film that's meant to be good that I didn't really enjoy was Millions. 88% on RT, critically acclaimed. Give me a break. But I love Danny Boyle a lot, one of the few British directors around at the moment that I really like.
The Beach had a good concept. It started really well, it had so much potential to be brilliant. Even the visuals didn't let it down, but the plot just went to shit. Real shame. 2 stars for me... Shallow Grave, 3 and a half stars.
I do like Danny Boyle a lot, I've enjoyed every film he's done. But I rate them on how good I think they are, rather than how much I enjoyed them. If you get me..
Yay! You've done loads.
You've done more than me, I own about 1,000 albums. I have a few left to do, but I don't know where I'm going to get them from. My iTunes must be lying to me. I'm just gonna do it as and when I find them.
You still need to work on your films. 1 film rated is paffetic!
