    Forgot to mention Dave Burrell's Echo and Matana Roberts' Coin Coin Chapter One. Both great and intense records.

    Mangled Schoof - European Echoes is the closest comparison I can think of. Globe Unity Orchestra is great too, and Zu's Igneo is pretty different from Machine Gun but it's an avant-garde jazz metal thing and I think you'll dig it. The rest of Brötzmann's material is great, especially Nipples, Balls, Low Life, and For Adolphe Sax. Lemme know what you think.
