Requiem for a Dream
Suspiria
Billy Elliot
Spirited Away
(even if you aren't specifically taking recs for animated movies, this one is worth making an exception for)
Fish Tank

Also, is the Dracula on your list in the OP Coppola's version?

Looked into Requiem for a Dream. Sorry, not my thing, movies about drug addictions and trips. Won't be adding that one. Nor Fish Tank. Thought that might have been a second sequel to Finding Nemo! Nah, doesn't appeal to me. Sorry.

My bad. I guess these ones would be most up your alley.

Also, how come you only have two out of three of the Kieślowski colors series? Did you already see White?

Darn it, forgot to mark Brazil. Excellent movie.
No, only those two were on the list, but it's a trilogy isn't it? So I guess I'll add the third one anyway.

In that case, do Playtime as my fifth rec.

White is pretty funny, I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being your favourite of the trilogy.

Right then. Playtime looks interesting, They Live looks really cool, Groundhog Day I'm not interested in; I know of it and I'm not a fan of Murray, plus I kind of looked at it for my Scroogedown years ago. Meh. Moon - there are two movies, one 2009 and one 2020. Which are you suggesting (I'm thinking you mean the science fiction one, 2009, but maybe you could confirm?) - Fantastic Planet looks a must-watch.

Also, I'm choosing movies to watch from the list randomly once I get going, but should I be watching the three Colours movies one after the other, or does it matter? Are they linked? Do I need to watch them in order?

In my head I 'm saying "Not a fan of Bill Murray?" in the voice of John Cleese.

Nah, I don't like his smug arrogant face that seems to be grinning sarcastically at everything while also kind of rolling his eyes. I mean, I don't hate him, but I certainly wouldn't search out a movie based on his being in it, unlike say DDL or Depp or Hopkins or Hurt. At the same time, I wouldn't avoid it like the plague like I would Sandler or Stiller. **** those guys.

OK then. My Spirited Away rec still stands, at any rate

Sandler, amazingly enough, has actually done a couple of decent movies. Totally agree with you on Stiller though.

Yes but it's brilliant. I hate 30 Rock cause it's essentially an uncharismatic version of that but Bill Murray is pure charisma. I'm sorry but get out of my thread.

Zoolander is so worthless it comes back around to being amazing.
