News From Planet Trollheart
NEWS FROM PLANET TROLLHEART No, not yet another new journal, not really. But with all the updating and even new journals I’ve been working on I thought it might be handy to have a place where I can keep anyone who’s interested up to date on what journals are being updated, and when. Assuming anyone is interested. Anyone? Hello? Well anyway, it will mean that you won’t have to keep checking to see if a particular journal has anything new added to it since you last checked it out. It’ll also serve as a reminder to me if certain journals haven’t been updated in a while. I’ll do this alphabetically and obviously in chronological order. https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...-conflict.html Nov 6: Journal started and introduction https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...y-ireland.html Nov 4: Chapter VI, the Book of Invasions Part Four https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...ive-metal.html Oct 28: 1970, the bands formed Oct 29: And in Other Prog News… Nov 6: Albums for 1970 Nov 7: Reviews of Syd Barret’s The Madcap Laughs and Van der Graaf Generator’s The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...ploration.html Nov 5: The First Explorers; the Phonecians, Greeks and the Romans The Playlist of Life https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...d-journal.html Nov 6: Forgotten Downloads - Kotipelto, “Beauty has Come” https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...heme-park.html Current theme: Mountains Oct 30: “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” by Tony Bennett; “The Mountains of Mourne” by Finbar Furey Oct 31: “Night on Bald Mountain” by Modest Mussorgsky Nov 3: “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Diana Ross https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...year-hell.html Oct 28: Journal begins with “Happy New ****ing Year”. Dateline: December 31 Oct 30: “Have a Heart, Eddie: I’m Depressed!” Nov 7: “Coining It In: The Road to Ruin” In the pipeline and due to return hopefully before the end of the year: https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...-cartoons.html https://www.musicbanter.com/members-...s-journal.html

Note: Due to the ongoing trouble with the system refusing to properly recognise certain tags, I am postponing my attempts to update already-posted entries in many of my journals. In some, videos or images no longer work, and I had wanted to address that, but the amount of time it's taking to figure out why I'm being refused access is ridiculous. Sometimes it's a line-by-line thing on what could be a very large post (you know me) and it's just not worth all the hassle.
So when the bug is fixed I'll get back to updating. For now, if you come across an entry in which something doesn't work, you'll just have to deal with it until I can get proper access and sort it out. Sorry, but it's doing my head in and it really isn't worth it.

Coming for 2021
At the end of 2019 I said I'd be hitting the ground running in 2020, which did not happen due to various circumstances, some of which were outside of my control. This coming year though, I won't be doing that either. I'll be hopping on an express train (maybe a maglev) and blasting into the new year with plenty of regular updates as well as a whole slew of new journals. Like these ones. and many more. No, actually, that's it. For now.

A Brief and Very Boring History of My Journals; The Coming of the Mega-Journal!
Note: This was not feasible so I'm dropping the idea. I'll spoiler it so if anyone wants to read what I'm ranting on about they can. But it no longer applies.
Spoiler for Seemed like a good idea at the time...:

Lots to do in twenty-two!
I've been a little lax with my journal updates recently, so expect to see a flurry of entries this year, including a whole slew of new ones. You want dinosaurs? We got dinosaurs. You want evil people? We got evil people. You want heroes? We got heroes. We got popes, gangsters and snakes (possibly sometimes in the same journal ho ho). How about the history of comics? History of television? Maybe you prefer reading about Charles Dickens, or just learning little interesting factoids. You like mysteries?
Suffice to say, there's a lot coming, hopefully something for everyone, to say nothing of the resumption of my histories of Ireland, England and America (with Russia coming later) and the long-awaited (?) return of the History of Prog Rock. And my new Covid journal of course. And plenty more too. My mega-journal idea didn't work out, so all I can say is sorry if someone's journal gets crowded out, but I'm on the way back.
