21st Century Music Breakdown

Since I have been a music fan for nearly my entire life, and love getting opportunities to share music with others, I thought I would start a journal on here.

Out of all the songs I have listened to, this one may not be my absolute favorite, but it is by far the most important one. It is the song that got me into music, all the way back when I was 3 years old.

The main riff is iconic, Billie Joe's lyrics are scathingly poetic, and if you haven't seen the music video at least once, you truly haven't lived. Green Day is still my favorite band of all time, and I don't see that changing for as long as I live.

This confuses me.

He was 3 in '04?

It’s hard to like music during your terrible twos.
But he found his way back to the things he loved
when he was rockin’ the diapers.

Ros shares my confusion.

Bitch had barely gained object permanence and was already on that grind. Props to him I say.

Razorback3200 01-31-2019 09:18 AM

Yeah, I was 3 years old, I got into it thanks to my parents who were going to see green day. I just happened to overhear it and I fell in love with it.

Sorry, that was a typo! I've changed it now.

rostasi 01-31-2019 09:29 AM

We're trying to figure out how you got back into music when you were 3 years old?
Was being a 2-year-old just too much for you that you hated the music you listened
to when you were 1? WTFDTM?

rostasi 01-31-2019 09:31 AM

OK, then nevermind.

Razorback3200 01-31-2019 09:35 AM

Yeah, i'm really sorry! I'm actually kind of embarrassed about that! Great way to start, am I right?

Razorback3200 01-31-2019 09:36 AM

I'll post some song reviews next

Awesome live performance I found

Huh, interesting jump between Green Day and Suffocation. I applaud the Suffocation choice though, good stuff.

Yeah, this really isn't meant to have any sort of structure, I just thought I would share that. I'm only just starting to get used to death growls, and I'm glad I am, because it's opening me up to some cool songs from some cool bands. Another band i'll probably talk about here is Opeth.

I can't remember what band got me back into music when I was three years old. The one's and the two's were bit of blur for me.

MicShazam 02-02-2019 01:17 AM

Most things between 1 and 15 are a bit of a blur for me.

rostasi 02-02-2019 07:35 AM

Neap. Late, and mixed up, like usual.
