The percussion is positively thrilling. And even though it’s completely Coltranian I think you can hear slight echoes of Bitches Brew’s thematic cohesion.

Edit: To be fair, it's not like I don't like those albums. I just don't hold them in high a regard as the rest of his work. I have them both rated 3.5 on RYM.
