We're still a bookstore so they roll in and realize we don't have James Patterson novels and it usually takes about fifteen minutes for them to get the picture and leave. That window is where I reel em in.

I don't understand why old people refuse to listen to new music but only read recent New York Times bestsellers.

Usually those books are written in the style of a 13 year old trying to be mysterious so I think their fragile minds can handle it better.

Probs. I love my grandmother to death but anytime she suggests a book to read I already know I'll only be humoring her.

Like the culture you grew up in defines you to the point of being a religion but almost nobody ever reads so it's easy to read current literature?

Like if you like new music instead of it being considered a life affirming hobby it’s considered a type of stunted development. And yeah - nobody reads.
