down with spofity; revolución de soulseek
Recently, the pain and suffering had been building. Reaching a tipping point. I could not hold on any longer. Something had to change. I simply needed to get a new RYM account. So I did it. One simple chrome extension and bang. No issues with my permabanned IP address, which is quite upsetting to me since I had previously tried several different programs to no avail. As a result, a new breath of life has been injected directly into my veins. My need to discover new music is back. Immediately I felt compelled to discard my one true coping mechanism during the time of lethargic habitual listening: Spotify. Be gone foul beast. Enter the one true king of music sharing. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...seek-png-3.png Using RYM and the god-emperor soulseek in perfect harmony, I hope to share the best and worst of my discoveries in this thread. Feel free to suggest albums and tracks, and I will get around to talking about them if I think they are worthy. |

Is slsk iPhone friendly yet?
I used to love it. |
Oh and **** Spotify, Soulseek is the biz.
|
Looking forward to see what you're gonna do with this thread but Spotify is great for music discovery imo
|
Spotify is trash compared to using sites like RYM, bandcamp and last.fm etc. The process of specifically looking for music to download has always resulted in my best discoveries, but the convenience of Spotify just lured me in over the years.
I don't know if soulseek is iPhone friendly yet. I'd assume not. |
I still pay for Spotify due to having f*cking awesome playlists on there.

So you're listening to recs/reviewing recs? Have you heard Snö by Snail's House?
|
I’ll be doing some recs, some of my own findings and other kinds of general music discussion that may not be specific to a single album or track. I’ll check out the two refs so far.
