It's a mixture of my upbringing, family, negative energy, etc. I have trouble comprehending people most of the time and I get anxious very easily since I don't typically have anybody to talk to about it. I sort of just keep it inside when I'm by myself and though thats not healthy, I express it through music. I've dealt with anxiety and depression for over 10 years and while it's not gotten much worse, there's been days where I truly want to kill myself but I never do it.

Are all the sounds on Grey generated on a laptop? What can you tell us about how this music was created?

Not specifically a laptop but yes, a bulk of it is made electronically. I have an electric keyboard that has piano and many other samples built in that I use periodically. If it's a sound that I don't think I can mimic on my own, I look up samples online and mix those in. I use Audacity as it's always been the most straightforward program that I've found when wanting to create music. Grey is a mixture of all of that.

Just that I'm glad you took the time to listen to Grey because it's honestly one of my favorite things that I've recorded. It's not perfect by any means but it really gives what I want it to give and that's all I really wanted out of it. It was a fun album to make and I'm excited to make more.
