![]() ![]() Qhapaq Ñan Album by Gustavo Santaolalla Santaolalla is the Argentine composer who did the soundtrack for Brokeback Mountain and the exceptional music from 21 Grams. Qhapaq Ñan is a pleasant collection of mostly instrumentals guitar tracks with occasional vocals and other subtle accompaniment. The vocals are in Spanish which, to me at least, keeps them from being distracting. At one point it goes avant garde and then plays music from a street festival that eventually blends back into an avant garde clickity clacking. Most of it is South American sounding new age, however
