I’m planning on reading the one about the Japanese one about spirals
Which is more important: please keep in mind I’m trying very hard to choose the right books to read for my final 25% of life - like what I read between now and death is really important to me —-it's horrifying how small of a dent into the world of literature one can make during a human lifespan I’ll read both but which is first? |
Miracle Man. Both are necessary but Miracle Man will definitely **** you up more than Uzumaki.

If you’re only vaguely familiar with the Cure you might as well go to the real McCoy but if you’re a decent person and have already combed through their fabulous discography with a fine toothed comb then you’ll probably enjoy this excellent new take on one of the greatest rock bands of all time. This record does it so well it’s pretty much the same as discovering a new Cure record. There’s other influences on display too, don’t think I don’t know that ******* |

He’s 83. He worked with Don Cherry. He played on Escalator over the Hill. I’ve spent so much of the last 10 months listening to harsh jazz that maybe I needed this. It’s like when you stumble on something that turns out to be a lot better than expected. Like a fat girl who works it and you get all comfortable together in a waterbed in a cabin in Maine with a fireplace. Grunt. It seems like I discovered this on Music Banter but the search engine didn’t hit. Very sincere and touching Morrissey/Smiths covers. The melodies really shine. There’s an upbeat and endearing sound here that reminds me of the unabashed joy found in the smiling world of J-Pop. One member, Sergio Mendoza, is also in Calexico (I thought Calexico won the Mercury Prize but wiki isn’t backing me up. Anyone know what’s up with that?) *The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get ::: Good song This album makes me feel like I’m watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off which is awesome because that’s a great movie. |
