I’m planning on reading the one about the Japanese one about spirals
Which is more important: please keep in mind I’m trying very hard to choose the right books to read for my final 25% of life - like what I read between now and death is really important to me —-it's horrifying how small of a dent into the world of literature one can make during a human lifespan I’ll read both but which is first? |
Miracle Man. Both are necessary but Miracle Man will definitely **** you up more than Uzumaki.

Miracleman Book 1: A Dream of Flying
start there? |
Yup.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...the_Is_Are.jpg Is the Is Are Studio album by DIIV Very Cure influenced and also very well done. If you’re only vaguely familiar with the Cure you might as well go to the real McCoy but if you’re a decent person and have already combed through their fabulous discography with a fine toothed comb then you’ll probably enjoy this excellent new take on one of the greatest rock bands of all time. This record does it so well it’s pretty much the same as discovering a new Cure record. There’s other influences on display too, don’t think I don’t know that ******* |
http://images.cdbaby.name/i/g/igneousflame27.jpg Moonglow Album by Igneous Flame https://igneousflame.bandcamp.com/album/moonglow Spoiler for “Genghis”:
New age ambient with nice vocals. Spoiler for “greenblue”:
And water sounds. I love water sounds. https://moonshaman.files.wordpress.c...anbeautify.jpg Poke-a-hot-ass |
https://www.jazzmessengers.com/28498...trio-vol-1.jpg Ivo Perelman, Karl Berger, Gerald Cleaver - The Art Of The Improv Trio Volume 1 Even though Perelman is the band leader on this I’ve decided to direct the attention to Berger since it might be of interest to free jazz fans. He’s 83. He worked with Don Cherry. He played on Escalator over the Hill. It’s still heartbreaking to talk about Ornette in the past tense but they were friends and worked together to found the Creative Music Studio that was a study center that brought students in touch with the Art Ensemble of Chicago, Cecil Taylor, Pauline Oliveros and many others. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZYkru4dXen...Berger-HZT.jpg |
Cloudy Tracks 2 Album by Mr. Cloudy https://i.postimg.cc/Vvq8b1hY/1-DD95...03865-B0-F.jpg Dub in the On-U Sound of the late 80’s style. Somehow this album title seems to have been used twice. Yeah so I mean the one that matches this picture. And yeah you’re better off just going back to original source material. Whatever, it’s not that bad. |
https://www.notreble.com/buzz/wp-con...en-300x300.jpg Unspoken Album by Matt Brewer a This is the kind of glossy production non-Coltranian jazz I typically shy away from but the easy going vibes and undeniably skillful musicianship has won me over. I’ve spent so much of the last 10 months listening to harsh jazz that maybe I needed this. It’s like when you stumble on something that turns out to be a lot better than expected. Like a fat girl who works it and you get all comfortable together in a waterbed in a cabin in Maine with a fireplace. Grunt. PS It’s this guy on drums: https://www.musicbanter.com/2004532-post187.html |
http://www.resident-music.com/image/...ex-500x500.jpg Mexrrissey – No Manchester Hear No Manchester https://soundcloud.com/mexrrissey/sets/no-manchester-1, a playlist on #SoundCloud. It seems like I discovered this on Music Banter but the search engine didn’t hit. Very sincere and touching Morrissey/Smiths covers. The melodies really shine. There’s an upbeat and endearing sound here that reminds me of the unabashed joy found in the smiling world of J-Pop. One member, Sergio Mendoza, is also in Calexico (I thought Calexico won the Mercury Prize but wiki isn’t backing me up. Anyone know what’s up with that?) *The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get ::: Good song This album makes me feel like I’m watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off which is awesome because that’s a great movie. |
