No Man's Land
Album by Michael Idehall

https://ant-zen.bandcamp.com/album/no-mans-land

This is a creepy record that reminds me of the swans and the birthday party except recreated in a dark ambient style so maybe meets Lustmord. It’s slowly pulsating beat music with vocals. For the most part, these days I’m not as receptive to avant-garde music with vocals unless the vocals are very good and drive the music like Julianna Barwick. However, Idehall’s vocals work in a way that besides Gyra and Cave also and maybe mostly have a Genesis P-Orridge drive to them.

Now I did some serious name dropping in this review. This isn’t as good as any of the artists I mentioned but if you like those guys and want to check out something new try a couple tracks off this one. It’s pretty cool.

Augusta Read Thomas: Of Being Is a Bird

I used to spend a lot more time with this type of music. Comfortably a century after Schoenberg’s first introduced his musical language it’s still being spoken here. Thomas doesn’t **** with modal or ambient or minimalist influence. This is pure uncut undiluted serialism. No bull****. Recommended.

Up until the last line I thought you had a negative view of the record for failing to innovate or something.

No. There’s room enough for everything.

The Hope Six Demolition Project
Studio album by PJ Harvey

I always felt like To Bring You My Love was a big drop from the the three before that. And the critics ****ting themselves over that record was really just a mass migration to the caboose bandwagon. Then the sunshine they blew up her ass had to much helium and she never got back to her roots. This is a fine record. They’re all fine. Hi. How are you? I’m fine, thank you. But not::: Hi how are you? Kick you’re ****ing teeth in bitch that’s how I ****ing am.

Great album, I like just about every album she's done. My favorite is probably Let England Shake, my number one album of 2011.

Spoiler for some tracks for ya:
This peculiar hip hop record is sadly overlooked.
