OH should do a thing on Psychopathic ****. He's had some optimistic views on juggalos, and I'm curious just what he thinks on the whole thing, music and otherwise.

Back to 2016, hopefully you know about the Instant Classic label. I'm always interested in what they put out next.

That looks like an incredible resource but I don’t remember seeing that label before. Thanks. I feel a little embarrased about it; it looks so prolific.

Oh well, that’s why we’re here, to learn.

Proggy arabic inspired rock stuff. Fans of Secret Chiefs 3 will dig it for sure (and I know that Exo will like it for sure).

Definitely makes the what happened in 2016 list. Not cliche or gimmicky sounding at all. These Aussies do it so well this definitely deserves more love. Stonery and droney but the hat hanging hook is how well they play their damn instruments. This ain’t no joke.

Basically, you get a lot of the same comment about this band: fun fun fun. But is it really? They need to get out of Arizona, move down to the Dirty South, live on only things purple for a year and join the cult of Future. **** this late 90’s sounding bull****.

I just thought that it was funny how they used a beat by a white producer to represent black history month. Wouldn't it make more sense to go in the other direction in hip hop culture? I guess that's probably more expensive.

Jesus you’re ****ing cryptic.

Kaija Saariaho: Chamber Works for Strings, Vol. 2

Saariaho is a 65 year old Finnish composer. She studied under the brilliant Brian Ferneyhough who I wrote about earlier. However, Saariaho is by no means a Ferneyhough disciple. She found his strict adherence to the sonic fractals of Schoenberg’s serialism overly confining and decided she was more suited to express herself as a spectralist growing more from the seeds of Olivier Messiaen.

This album showcases beautiful lyrical contemporary classical music.
