Incongruous Inamorata by darkmatter

I’m not really sold on this but I figure Warsaw Uprising is the best track. If anyone is curious check them out. Share your opinion even.

I’m not going to vouch for this entire album but this is a good song:

I hope sometimes less is more and readers appreciate the brevity of some of my reviews. Sometimes, hey check this out is about the best I got. Or just key facts. Man, some of the posters here really find a way to go on and on taking apart every track.

Anyway, in 2016, Jean-Michel Jarre decided to cash in on the 40th anniversary of Oxygene.

Oxygène 3 by Jean-Michel Jarre

Critics generally panned it but it sold pretty well in Central Europe and Scandinavia. I personally like it. I’ve loved the original since high school and these are some fun variations on the original theme. It doesn’t cheapen the legacy or anything like that. It’s not great but if you like the original but don’t take it too seriously you should be good with this. Quality new nostalgia. Well, it was new two years ago which is new to me.

Basically, you get a lot of the same comment about this band: fun fun fun. But is it really? They need to get out of Arizona, move down to the Dirty South, live on only things purple for a year and join the cult of Future. **** this late 90’s sounding bull****.

I've cooled on them and even think they're hella overrated now, but they're still fine. People reference the fun element because it's rooted in the past, isn't very inventive, and lacks depth, but it's still a good listen (or about 75% of the album is).

Some lovely ass American primitivism (from Norway) with ambient runs. Hubro records does it again.

Said Frownland half a year ago about my next 2016 pick.

Grossly underlooked

So here’s another thing

In the past when albums blended together or got lost it was bad

2016 ambient pinnacle consciousness blending Heidegger Daisen

meant to get lost being there in the whole
