RMHQ by Roy Montgomery

Kiwi Roy Montgomery’s quadruple album, RMHQ (Roy Montgomery’s Headquarters) should appeal to Swans fans.

This noise outfit all the way back from the 1980’s chugged some extra Geritol and released an old school noise record in 2016.

Offal by Sutcliffe Jügend

If you care at all about the history of noise music you should know about the legendary RRRecords. They were heavyweight champions in the dyi cassette culture zeroxed zine days. I used to call them on the phone and send cash in envelopes in return for some of the craziest cassettes I had ever heard.

RRRecords, Lowell, MA, USA ****ing die hard legends for sure!

But, times have changed: if you’re like me you’re probably clicking BandCamp instead these days: https://coldspring.bandcamp.com/album/offal-csr209cd-lp

Lord of Suffering/Die in a Haze by Monolord

Solid stoner. Short and sweet. Above average for a great competitive genre.

Again BandCamp comes through: https://monolord.bandcamp.com/album/...ng-die-in-haze

Self Mythology by Lucy

Mostly old school industrial dance music. Fans of Throbbing Gristle will probably enjoy this video

You can’t improve the appearance of women. Nudity is better than clothing. No make-up is better than make-up. Plastic surgery is repulsive. All women do is **** up something that can’t be improved upon. Wash that **** off your face and take your clothes off if you want to ****. And **** the fake feminist justifications for disrupting pure womanhood. As if it’s pro-woman to support women pretending it’s what they really want to distort their womanhood. Conor Oberst made one record worth a ****. Ruminations. **** Bright Eyes. **** all his other stuff. And mother**** Salutations. Plastic surgery bull****, too much make-up wearing, designer clothing, vandalism. What a c unt. He can give us this and he gives us that. Goddamn what a ****ing waste.

One thing about 2016 is the avalanche of great music is almost suffocating. There’s no getting to the bottom of it. It’s unavoidable with this kind of access to this many people making this much music. NOBODY knows WTF is even out there. I know I recommend so much stuff, **** falls through the crack. Mind is blown so many times, it’s an almost hopeless task to find a reasonable amount of records that have a real separation. I’d like to think my praise carries some weight but I don’t know.

Anyway, here’s another.

Fantastic African influenced avant jazz drone or something by two guys who met on MySpace. I’m not positive but I think this is an online collaboration thing.

Highest praise and recommendations

Excellent release, I'm a huge fan of the guitar especially. Hope I'm not stealing your thunder with this rec, but have you heard Horse Lords? They have a similar jazzy North African rocky style.

Don’t worry about my thunder bro. I want people to chime in. At least, it shows someone, anyone, is taking some interest. And yes, that Horse Lords is on the gigantic playlist I’m working off of. Baltimore has really exploded with an unexpected artistic music scene over the past decade. It’s cool.
