It's great to see someone going beyond the usual Disney-centric narrative and exploring the broader history of the medium.

Thanks. Originally it was to have been a history of cartoons on TV, then I realised how far back the history went, and it just made sense (and was a lot of fun) to explore the beginnings of animation. Again, my updated journal (up to the Golden Age of Animation now) is over at the other site. This one won't be updated as I no longer post here.
