Yeah if Qwerty and Tristan both take it in the butt, does it really matter which one is the more insatiable?

Martha - Blisters in the Pit of My Heart (2016) Niche: Pop Punk, Indie Rock, Power Pop, Queercore, Emo Location: Durham, Durham, United Kingdom Some pop punk seemingly lifted straight from Brand New's debut album. It certainly gets the job done if you want some cool spring/summer time pop punk to put you in that early 2000's mood, but not quite as well as the real deal will get you. It's a little too derivative for it's own good, and doesn't bring a whole lot to the table to make up for it. The melodies feel too contrived, the vocals are sorta annoying, and the riffs are just bland. I know this was recced by numerous forum members, but I'm sorry guys I can't get into this :/ Other cons from further listening: it's too damn long and the vocals are ****. Some of the melodies are alright but they're few and far between. 6/10

Sorority Noise - You're Not As ___ As You Think (2017) Niche: Emo, Indie Rock, Post-Hardcore, Midwest Emo Location: Hartford, CT, USA Yeah, so it's basically just Deja Entendu meets Home, Like Noplace is There with the lyrical themes that engulf both of those albums widely prevalent. But is that ever such a bad thing? It certainly offers not much else up new (nothing shocking in this genre), but it's among my favorite albums of the year so far already. It has it's own merits and.. whatever. Just listen to it if you feel like it. 9/10

As Cities Burn - Come Now Sleep (2007) Niche: Indie Rock, Post-Hardcore, Emo, Post-Rock Location: Mandeville, LA, USA Okay, so now imagine The Devil and God from a doubtful Christian's worldview. The band started as a product of their environment at the time: edgy Warped Tour Post-Hardcore, though they certainly stood out even then as one of the better, more progressive and genuine groups of that movement. This album, definitely influenced by the shockwave sent out from Brand New's magnum opus, follows in suite with the introspective, self-explorative and deprecating emotional content of it, while viewing it from a more Christian lens, kinda owing to a bit of a mewithoutyou comparison (that is, backed up by the music of the piece). This album is beautiful, crushingly emotional, and one of the highlights of my journey through emo thus far. You won't be sorry if you go on this adventure. 9/10 Spoiler for Choice Track:

Ignite - Our Darkest Days (2006) Niche: Melodic Hardcore, Punk Rock Location: Orange County, CA, USA First impressions: "Oh, no. Not this melodic hardcore. Not soaring/overly dramatic Freddie Mercury vocals and tough guy Orange County schtick." But what followed definitely surprised me... looking past the initial blast of cheese, the dude's vocals are actually really cool. This isn't quite up to standard and doesn't reach such heights as my favorite Melocore album, Potemkin City Limits (though it does recall it at times), but it's an enjoyable release in itself. The U2 cover also caught me by surprise, as I was reading stuff about that song earlier today. It also kicks ass. Not a perfect album, but one that I enjoy very much. 8/10 Spoiler for Choice Track:
