Who The Fuck Is This Artist?

Chapter 1: A quick overview

Straight from Stockholm Sweden we have Psychedelic/Hard Rock band Siena Root. The band is a four-piece featuring bassist Sam Riffer, drummer Love Forsberg, organist Erik Petersson, and guitarist Matte Gustavsson.

The band has released 5 albums, A Dream of Lasting Peace (2017), Pioneers (2014), Different Realities (2009), Far From The Sun (2008), Kaleidoscope (2006), and A New Day Dawning (2004).

Their name is derived from Tuscany's "warm, earthy colors".

Anime Sucks!

And that's why I'm going to talk about my favorite one!

I hate the seemingly more traditional style of anime that's along the lines of Dragon Ball Z and Naruto. Boring! I prefer something where it's retarded! So bad it's good. Something along the lines of B Gata H Kei!

It's about a fifteen year old girl who wants to have sex with a 100 guys before high school ends.

Quote:
That is the single dumbest idea for a show I've ever heard!
That's why it's so good. The anime doesn't take itself seriously either. It's freaking awesome!

You have problems
I know... thanks for the reminder...

Anyway, the main character, Yamada, is still a virgin when the series picks up. She believes that her first time needs to be with another virgin before she can screw a hundred men.

The strange thing is that I feel like I can relate to this story more then most other stories.

Quote:
... You wanted to screw a hundred dudes in high school.
No! The story actually revolves around the awkwardness of sex when you're a teenager just learning about it and attempting to experience it. The 100 dudes thing is merely a set-up.

I rate this 91 dudes!

Today's review is Thou's The House Primordial

I need to slow down on this journal. Way too much posting. People might actually expect me to do this stuff more commonly. Any way, here's a reactionary based review of Thou's new EP/album.

Wisdom in the Open Air: Starts off with a slow build. Some feedback comes into the background. Drone? I think I this is Drone music cause of how long it's going on for. A chord starts to play in the background.

Premonition: Chord becomes main playing point eventually with some black metals vocals. Didn't even realize it was a new track at first because that Segway was well executed. Digging everything I'm hearing.

The Sword without a Hilt: These songs do a good job of blending into eachother. I keep missing the switches. Songs kind of boring though with its silent approach.

Diaphanous Shift: This song is much heavier. I prefer this from Thou. A loud sludge black metal song.

Corruption and Mortal Trauma: A short interlude track.

Psychic Dominance: We're back to a slower metal song but I dig. Actually the longer I listen to this song goes on the more I enjoy it.

Prideful Dementia and Impulsive Mayhem: Track has a build with noise. So far this appears to be another interlude. Yeah, the biggest issue i can see so far is these interludes. They don't really offer much to the album. They come and are there for far too long.

Occulting Light: A jolting synth sound starts the next track with a noise track that pops into more typical Thou. Good song. Thou is really good at songs like this. More of this, less interludes.

Birthright: Another interlude. Though I think this one is maybe the best one so far.

Malignant Horror: An explosion into the music that Thou is good at. Loud and angry.

Final thoughts - This a good album. The tracks that are ment to set up the next track are good but too long (with exception given too Wisdom in the Open Air and Birthright). The song's they set-up however, are always excellent songs.

Favorite track: Diaphanous Shift

☆☆☆☆

Existence is for the weak. Death is the cure for weakness.
