5. Katsuyori Shibata vs Minoru Suzuki

Shibata had just lost the British Heavyweight Championship to Zack Sabre Jr. due to Suzuki interfering in the match. Shibata searches for revenge against the man who caused his loss as well as searching for a win in to get him to the next round of the New Japan Cup.

The match begins and we quickly find Suzuki in control through cheating. Shibata slowly mounts a comeback. Eventually we have a long drawn out strike exchange til both men nail each other with a kick at the same time causing them both to fall down. Their body's red from the striking they begin to setup their finishers. Shibata hits his finisher, the penalty kick, for the pinball victory.

This match encapsulates Japanese wrestling. Two men willingly beating the shit out of each other to prove that they are tough. This match does an incredible job showing Japan's concept of the fighting spirit.

4. A.J. Styles vs. Brock Lesnar

A.J. Styles defeats Jinder Mahal to become WWE championship once again. Styles is now walking into a match with the unstoppable force we call Brock Lesnar. Can Styles overcome the Beast Incarnate or will he be added to the list of victims.

Styles starts off getting dominated by Lesnar. Lesnar shows that he doesn't concern himself with Styles. Styles uses this to his advantage in order to mount a comeback and shows Lesnar that he's not someone to be trifled with.

Styles hits his finisher, the phenomenal forearm, only for Lesnar to kick out. Lesnar hits his F5 for a pin-fall victory.

3. Kushida vs. Will Ospreay Best of the Super Juniors 24 Final

The story of this match is... different... Both of these men are painted as the underdog walking into it...

Ok... let me break it down. Will Ospreay challenges Kushida for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at invasion Attack and loses. Ospreay wins Best of the Super Juniors 23 and gets to challenge Kushida for the belt again. Ospreay loses again. Ospreay can't defeat Kushida. Ospreay looks to win his second Best of Super Juniors match but has to defeat a man he hasn't been able to beat.

At Wrestle Kingdom 11 Kushida loses the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship to Hiromu Takahashi. Kushida challenges Hiromu to a rematch at Sakura Genesis but is defeated in just over two minutes. Kushida is now using the Best of the Super Juniors as a launching point to get himself back into the title picture and prove he can defeat Hiromu. First he needs to defeat one of, if not the most dangerous type of opponent, a man looking for redemption.

The match starts with the two men reversing and countering each others moves. It's established that the two men are equals with a back and forth. With neither man able to one-up the other the frustration boils over. They begin to kick each others heads in. Eventually they start to go for their finishers but they keep getting reversed. Finally Kushida hits a weak looking version of his finisher from the top rope. Kushida knows that this isn't enough to make his opponent stay down and rolls him through for a second time to get the pin-fall victory.

Either their parent company owns the company that produces the game or its a sponsorship. Those are the most likely answers.

2. Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada (All three matches)

I don't care that I'm putting three matches in one spot. My list, my way.

Quote:
No one's going to read it anyway.
Shut up!

Not much backstory here. Okada is champion and Omega won the G1 climax in order to challenge for the title at Wrestle Kingdom.

Omega works Okada's back. Okada somewhat lazily works through his moves. He shows us that he doesn't take Omega seriously as a challenger. Okada attempts his finisher early but fails to hit it. The match picks up and Omega starts working the back of Okada's neck. Okada becomes desperate and hits his finisher but Omega kicks out. Omega attempt his finisher but is never able to hit it. Okada hits his a second time and wins.

Okada continues to defend his title but everyone obsesses over Omega from their match. Okada becomes agitated and challenges Omega to rematch. If beating him once doesn't settle that he's the better man a second win will.

The two go straight into their fight. They fight at a constant pace to a sixty minute draw.

It's the G1 climax tournament and the two are meeting for a third time. Omega has lost twice in the tournament. Okada has lost once and had one draw. If Okada gets another draw he gets to go to the finals. Omega has to beat the man he can't beat and he has to do it in under thirty minutes. Okada's neck is stiff and hurting him from all his matches.

Omega targets Okada's neck. Okada fights back for all he's worth but succumbs to Omega.

omega man is the best wrestler in the world

that statement holds no weight because i havent watched much since early 2017 but at that time he was. i know styles gets a lot of credit for being up there, as does Okada and a few others, but it has to be Omega imo. if (when) he finally comes to WWE it will be the start of an era with matches so goddamn good nobody will even care about how stupid the writing is.

seriously though put Seth Rollins, Kenny Omega, Finn Balor, AJ Styles, and Kevin Owens in any promotion from any time period and they would steal the show. put all 5 of them in a promotion with guys like Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, etc. etc. and greatness is bound to happen.

So this is what it's like under the machine? How anticlimactic, new boss is the same as the old boss.

Get rid of Sami Zayn and this becomes a full on truth bomb.

Stay tuned. I'll return back to the story once I figure out what part 2 is.
