I thought Cohen's last album was kind of a snoozer aside from a few tracks.

He certainly raised the bar if anything.

Here's hoping MF Doom releases the best album of his career soon.

Think back to all the Bowie discussion around the time of his death and let me know if you still feel that way.

A small and temporary price to pay.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Qwertyy talked about this in his journal and I don't remember if I've given a few thoughts about it myself. Blackstar was and is still a very peculiar album because I've experienced it pre-death and post-death in regards to David Bowie. It's actually incredible to listen to Lazarus before and after he died. David Bowie knew pretty much exactly what was going to happen and how he was going to go, and this is what it means to go out with a bang. A truly remarkable album that I don't think will ever fight to be great. No other album has met this standard and I don't think any will for a long time.
My father-in-law and I were just discussing this album last night. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is doing a tribute to Bowie on Jan 20 and I must admit I'm quite stoked; they're pretty phenomenal. Going for our anniversary
