my fav track on TLOP was Feedback because it reminded me Yeezus. i hope he comes back with something wild as hell on his next album. Yeezus was like his introduction to experimental hip-hop and him dipping his toes in the water, but now it's time he goes all the way with it.

Was he really experimental with it? Industrial hip hop was sort of a standard leading up to that album. He just helped give it more spotlight.

no but i would say some of the production dabbled in it. i would like to see him take the more jarring and abrasive moments from the album and turn it into an entire project. even just an EP or mixtape of that kinda thing would be cool. it would probably stop you ***gots from complaining about his lyricism too.

Ja, I was referring to the production. My point was that it wasn't exactly anything new (don't confuse this with it being unwelcome though), so it's not really experimental, is it?

Are there any lyrics on Yeezus (or LOP) that make you think his lyrics are improving?

not at all, but it seems like people tend to care about the lyrics on an experimental hip-hop album much less.

Why does an artist always have to do something new? If the artist manages to use something that exists and make it better, it's noteworthy.

They don't. Well, in Kanye's case he should have because his music came out for the better. But my point was that experimental artists always have to do something new/have a unique style or else they're not experimental.

i think kanye has started to take pride in always doing something new (in terms of mainstream hip-hop, not necessarily within the genre as a whole) ever since MBDTF.

Would you say your music is experimental? It's been done before.
