Wow the ratings Creep got on Rotten Tomato. I'm kind of surprised I've never heard of it. Thanks for letting me know about it. Quote:
Possession *googles* I'm actually kind of shocked I've never watched this I love 70's and 80's horror. It's my favorite time for the genre personally. This movie looks really good I'm going to watch it for sure. Thanks again for all the material I'm getting so pumped up! |

Tucker and Dale is an extremely fun movie.
But Borgman is nothing like that (still fun though). It's actually pretty difficult to describe the tone of the movie, the director has a quite unique style. Just watch it.

I have to admit, I've never seen the remake of Let The Right One In but for me the idea of subtitles and foreign languages goes very well with the bleak, almost alien landscape of the setting, and it feels like "Englishing it up" would lose some of that. As I say, I haven't seen it, but in the original, my favourite scene, at the pool near the end? Can it be possible the remake captured the dark yet subtle horror of this without overdramatising or sensationalising it?

They're basically identical. Maybe they put it in English so that the Swedes will have the same response to the film as you did.

It's about vampire kids. Huge difference. But yes, it delivers on all fronts.
In Let Me In, one thing that I noticed was that the scenes were set up the same, but shot differently. For example, in Let the Right One In, Oskar might enter from the left side of the frame while he comes in from the right in Let Me In.
