You know, what with being nailed to a cross, I'll bet he wasn't all that graceful at the time.

It seemed like you were trying to be really nice early on.

All I did was welcome her. Always good to see a new journal. But this almost makes Norg's a work of art. Just terrible. I hope she can improve, because I don't want to see one-line entries along the lines of "today I listened to [fill in blank]" every week.

If you're reading this, Lucky Girl, try to put some effort into your journal. It's just not worth it either, and nobody's gonna bother reading it.

Cut her some slack guys, please. I don't know of any rule that says she can't write her journal as an actual journal. I think it's almost a given a journal is an album, review and Youtube videos. And when someone comes along and does it differently they are shown a yellow card (soccer reference). So far I like the old school approach like "Random thoughts/ Journal" by Unrelenting. Sometimes things need time to grow (gardening reference), you can't expect her to hit a grand slam her first time up at bat (baseball reference) just so you can be awed by it for your own amusement. I think we should be encouraging in a more positive way in the advice we give, than offering negative feedback.

If she doesn't get criticism she'll never learn. But come on, really: this is no journal, it's just a random collection of thoughts. She hasn't even tried to talk about any of the music she's writing about. Sure, it's her journal and she can do it as she wishes, but she's not going to amass many views this way, other than people just checking in out of curiosity or to, you know, laugh at her. I know there are no real rules, but surely if you write stuff you want people to read it, and feedback (positive or negative) is the only way you get to know what people think.

Well, I watched the videos for Dancing in the Moonlight and A Whole New World. I thought the journal started off decently with a 70s' track. I mistakenly thought it was a Van Morrison song, not unlike Trollheart who mistakenly thought it was Thin Lizzy. I like the tidbit about how they used Wurlitzer electric piano in the song. I would just wrongfully assumed it was a Fender Rhodes electric piano.

I am not much into Disney movies. The last few really good ones were The Black Hole released in 1979, and Tron released in 1982. I think they slowly went downhill afterwards. I read the Youtube replies to A Whole New World, just to see what people had to say about it. I saw that Discorded Brony wrote "I'm not gay but I'd totally seduce Aladdin if that means I can ride his magic carpet... I'm aware of how bad that sounded." I immediately thought this guy must be The Batlord.

@ The Batlord is "Discorded Brony" your YouTube username?

The fact that she's here to proselytize, combined with the fact that she probably has at least one alt account makes me not be very forgiving.

So what are you saying... I shouldn't be holding out for more 70s song reviews?
