darkly pyschedelic release, clashing together extreme guitar and electronic textures
The final track, Leviathan Vanquished, is especially beautiful.

loops of crunchy static, ambient synth surges, and a sleepy sounding accordion ornamented with various pots, pans and other sub-lo fi kitchen accessories

His influence probably went further than anything I had in mind when I said those albums have the same words in their title

Free jazz/noise somewhat in the vein of the brilliant Borbetomagus

By 1755 the Atlantic water had been pressing down on the ocean floor for 180,000,000 years. On All Saints Day, 200 miles from Lisbon, it finally collapsed triggering a Richter Scale 9 earthquake.

Most of Europe had tired of torturing Muslims by this time but the Inquisition was still in full swing in Lisbon. But on All Saints Day the Catholic Lisboetas were in church lighting candles. Tiny flames that were soon to grow and meld razing the churches and burning the screaming congregations alive.

But first things first, 15 foot fissures in the earth split Lisbon in two. Hundreds of thousands of human bones were crushed. Vertebrae were ripped from spines. The lucky died quickly from crushed skulls. Thousands suffocated under the debris.

Others were safe in the open public space near the sea. Until their safety was disrupted by a 20 foot tsunami that drowned thousands more.

And that's why the churches shook and the candles tumbled.

Voltaire came to believe no God could allow this and wrote Candide. This grew into Dadaism and the art house known as the Cabaret Voltaire. Art become wild and dangerous. God was urinated on and forgotten. The band Cabaret Voltaire came out and you should listen to their compilation 1974–1976 on Spotify.

Review

KIYOSHI MIZUTANI - HIDEAKI SHIMADA - KIYOHARU KUWAYAMA / GAMBETTA
Kiyoshi Mizutani was an early member of Merzbow, appearing on a lot of great early releases, and also has released a number of wonderful solo releases.
Hideaki Shimada released music under the name Agencement which was his dense field of sound created with violin, metal and tape.
Kiyoharu Kuwayama is a relative new comer who has recorded under the name Lethe and organized a festival under that name as well.
these three played together in one of those festivals, and then went into the studio to record this album. recorded in November 2001,
this album was languishing in the archives until Kuwayama remixed it in 2008 and it finally saw release in Russia. the 5 tracks
on this disc hover in a textural air with undefinable swirling noises, drones, hums, and electrical noises.

Dissonant Plane
