Limbo definitely works as a horror game in the same sense that Dark Souls works as one. You're a lone wanderer in an oppressive world where everything is trying to murder you. I do think the game kind of loses what makes it good towards the 3rd act though where the puzzles just because a loose assortment of physics puzzles but the first 2/3rds of the game are incredibly memorable.

True that. I think it's easily one of the best puzzle platformers i've played if not just for the dark ambiance. I just like that it adds a sense of hopelessness and you feel bad for your character whenever you fail or die.
