Well you'll be a greater man than me because I've only ever finished the 1st game and even that took me like 4 years to get around to doing.
Don't take that as a condemnation, they just have a really bad pacing issue where the first couple of hours is player training disguised as story missions and even after all of that I have this weird problem with Ubisoft open world games where my OCD kicks in and I have to collect EVERYTHING on the map. I swear most of the hours I've clocked in has just been me running/ horse riding/ sailing to pick up shards or chests or whatever. Hopefully you won't have the same affliction.
