An astute observation, Hawk! While the name of Can's castle studio was indeed Inner Space, the origin of my UN is actually derived from a snippet of the stream-of-consciousness lyricism of Underworld's Karl Hyde.
As a teen, their album, Dubnobasswithmyheadman was the very first record I heard outside of the sphere of top 40 radio rock, and it opened my mind to all the critical musical explorations which followed.
Also, the album's packaging, created by Tomato (the band's internationally-acclaimed design collective), directly inspired my pursuit of a design degree.
