10. NEU! - NEU! 2
9. Marion Brown - Geechee Recollections
8. Hawkwind - Space Ritual
7. Marvin Gaye - Let's Get It On
6. Tom Waits - Closing Time
5. Premiata Forneria Marconi - Photos of Ghosts
4. Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire
3. The Mothers of Invention - Over-Nite Sensation
2. The Incredible Bongo Band - Bongo Rock
1. Iggy and The Stooges - Raw Power

This is probably my most varied year so far. Krautrock, Jazz, Psychedelic Rock, the genres of Tom Waits/Frank Zappa, Funk and Proto-Punk etc. The only negative is that it contains none of my absolute top tier favourite records ever. In fact, only Raw Power would come near that list. Nevertheless, it shows the expanding nature of music around this time (which isn't to say there wasn't experimentation long before it). All of these albums are completely worth checking out at least once.

p.s. Bongo Rock is an absolute pillar when it comes to Hip Hop sampling,

p.s. (2) I am going for the "left side" look now. The way the albums were presented in the "central" format is just uneasy on the eye.

10. David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
9. Sand - Golem
8. The Residents - Meet The Residents
7. Henry Cow - Unrest
6. Sparks - Kimono My House
5. Kraftwerk - Autobahn
4. Leonard Cohen - New Skin for the Old Ceremony
3. King Crimson - Red
2. Bob Marley & The Wailers - Natty Dread
1. Frank Zappa - Apostrophe (')

This is definitely a so-so year for me. Clearly there's a lot of very good albums on here, but I don't think the standard is as high as many of the years I have posted about already. But don't get me wrong, I'd happily listen to every album on here. Zappa kills it as per usual. Quite comfortably my favourite Bob Marley album. Cohen finds his way into another list, with another great album. But yeah, overall it's just a solid year. I am sure there's plenty of albums I haven't gotten round to that are worthy of the list though.

10. Big Youth - Dread Locks Dread
9. Takehisa Kosugi, Michael Ranta & Toshi Ichiyanagi - Improvisation Sep. 1975
8. SBB - Nowy horyzont
7. Patti Smith - Horses
6. Zappa / Beefheart / Mothers - Bongo Fury
5. Grand Funk Railroad - Caught in the Act
4. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
3. NEU! - NEU! '75
2. Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention - One Size Fits All
1. Oliver Nelson - Skull Session

Honestly, apart from the top maybe four albums on here, I wouldn't consider this stellar. Sure, they are all good albums (though I pretty much never listen to 10 through 5), but there's a lack of real classics in my opinion. Decent year, but not a great year for me personally.

Kraftwerk put out Radioactivity, Willie Nelson put out Red Headed Stranger and Aerosmith put out Toys in the Attic in 1975 though. Just sayin'.

10. Blowfly - Oldies But Goodies
9. Blondie - Blondie
8. David Bowie - Station to Station
7. Weather Report - Black Market
6. Tom Waits - Small Change
5. The Modern Lovers - The Modern Lovers
4. Max Romeo & The Upsetters - War ina Babylon
3. Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life
2. Charles Mingus - Mingus at Antibes
1. The Residents - The Third Reich 'n Roll

Not a stellar year for me personally. I'd say the only two albums I absolutely love are the top two, and even those are rarely listened to. The main dude Blowfly keeping it real. Waits and Bowie get another nod, and the rest are good records no doubt.

Interesting to see the Blondie debut in the list but can't stand the Modern Lovers album:)
