If you asked me about him three days ago, I'd bow my head and shamefully admit to only having heard "Let's Dance", "Suffragette City" and "Under Pressure", which is really a Queen song. I chose this one only because of all the critical acclaim it seems to get (and because Ziggy Stardust was taken by Pet_Sounds :rolleyes:), and I can see why people are praising it. The arrangements are well-done, the songs are well-written for the most part, and some the hooks are just begging to be remembered. "Changes" has been stuck in my head for a day now, "Andy Warhol", has a hella neat acoustic riff, and "Life on Mars?" is about as close to pop perfection as you can get. Those are my favourite tracks for sure. I'm glad I listened to this, and I'm totally checking out Ziggy Stardust. 4/5 |
