I tend to buy in bulk as well when it comes to purchasing CD's. Bought 6 Led Zeppelin albums at one time, it was like Christmas morning. |

I will sometimes pick a song of the day that I am enjoying. Today is just one of those days where i've found a song that I really like from a band that I had never heard before. This one being Keldian. Just found out about this band through my last.fm when I was on the "progressive power metal" station. Really enjoying this band a lot, just got myself the Journey of Souls release. I strongly recommend the album. Here's the song:
Life, arise Exceed existence with burning eyes Believe, break free Illusions of boundaries and mortality Into eternity You are not alone, you are not alone Forever in this life, we sail the sea of stars We ride the winds of light, across the cosmic night My mind, blazing bright Eternal life in frozen lattices of light I feel, I see Order in chaos and destiny Into eternity You are not alone, you are not alone Forever in this life, we sail the sea of stars We ride the winds of light, across the cosmic night Firstborn, first free Freed from matter, beyond all life Into eternity You are not alone...you are not alone Forever in this life, we sail the sea of stars We ride the winds of light, across the cosmic night |

... You know, life comes with unexpected turns and events, there's really no way to predict what will happen to somebody, or what can happen the next day. Living your life to the fullest is the best thing you can do, considering those we love can be gone instantly the next day. It's hard, because you never know who or what will be taken away from you just like that. It can also be hard if you were never able to say your goodbye's, or if you never got to see them on their final hour, in their resting bed. It's tough to allow yourself to heal from something so personal. Life can be filled with joy and happiness, but there are times where life will just stab you in the heart and allow you to rethink what really matter in life. Family, friends, games, computers, etc. You just gotta live, live the best way you can, and just allow people to help you when you are in need, and help them when they are in need. Dearest great aunt of mine, you were a great person who walked this earth, and you will be severely missed. The last time I saw you was at the family reunion, and you were filled with so much joy, I never expected anything like this to happen with you. When I heard tonight that you were in your final hours on this earth, I was in shock. I had wished I had taken more time to see you, you truly were one to put a smile on someone's face, and you will truly be missed. 4/28/2011. That will be your day. I will think of you always, and more especially on that day. I will miss you. |

Part 1 of 2.
This needs a good bump, and what better way to do that than to post a bunch of music that I have found recently that I have come to enjoy, and some music that I seem to be enjoying more and more that I didn't enjoy years back. To start off, Elliott Smith has risen fairly quickly in my favorite artists list, not only for the indie folk-ness, but for his lyrics as well. It was saddening to know about his death a little after I was starting to get into him, he would've been an artist i'd want to see live over and over again. His live video for the same song isn't too bad either. Another band i've come to enjoy quite a bit recently is Blackfield. I started listening to them when I found out that it involved Steven Wilson from Porcupine Tree, and I am a pretty big fan of Porcupine Tree. One more for this entry would have to include the single that Rick Astley released last year. He sounds as good as he ever did, if not better. If this means he will release a new album in the next year or so, i'll be looking into picking it up. From this song alone, it seems like it would be a pretty solid album. |

^I'll get to the second part of that post soon. For now:
It's time for an update (in other words, time to open the door a little bit more into my life) With my recent "extended absence" from here, i'd like to talk about one of the bigger things that's currently going on in my life. Back in February, I took a leap of faith and moved two states down to California to live with a friend of mine. She needed somebody to stay with her because her husband is in the military and is now in Texas for a couple months, and he didn't want her to be alone. This is the first time i've actually been on my own before for an extended amount of time, and I have a lot of mixed feelings, mostly good, and some kind of meh. One of which I have a question with. I'm assuming it's normal to feel extremely homesick / kind of wishing you hadn't moved away sort of feelings right? I apologize if I didn't ask that question appropriately, it makes more sense in my head, mostly i'm just trying to figure out if my sad feeling is just me getting used to being on my own. Regardless of that, i'm finding it to be an extremely good experience for me, especially since I have never had the opportunity to do something like this, more for the fact that i've been pretty sheltered for the first 20 years of my life, for reasons I can discuss at another time. Anyway, that's about the jist of it so far in my not so exciting life. |

Something amazing has happened...
I got in touch with a guy who knows someone who works with a department on Amazon.com and I got asked to submit my poetry in the form of eBooks. This means i'll be able to write anything I want and submit it to Amazon and if the eBooks get purchased, I get .70 each book. The guy also does work with SEO for Amazon so my poetry eBooks will be easily accessible by a bunch of people. I don't ever think to write poetry for the money, but getting money on the side is always a nice thing to have. I'll still write because I love to write, it's never for the money. |
