Satriani is definitely one of my favorites. And thank you. I'm trying to keep it pretty diverse.

Anywho, here is an album that has decided to take a place in my heart for quite a long time now.

Here, you can take it for a test ride. This is Chiodos's album after the departure of Craig Owens. I honestly really like Brandon Bolmer's voice, but he's been getting a lot of hate. Haters gonna hate:

favorite song among my top 5 favorite bands for sure.

so good

Yeah? It's pretty fantastic. I remember listening to that song back in middle school. Got me through a lot of shit. Thrice alone did really.

Anyway, onto the music part. I've been on a bit of an acoustic binge lately. Here's what I have been listening to lately and i'll post an album or two of what I would recommend you check out:

I do like that song off of Bring Me Your Love, but I actually recommend Sometimes as an album to listen to. It's great with every listen given:

Just recently got into this band, I think some of the people here have already heard it, but i'll post it anyway for memory purposes. It was recommended to me because I listen to a lot of Bright Eyes and indie folk, and I was definitely surprised to know that I had not heard of this band when it was brought up. I'm glad I gave them a listen though, because it is right up my alley:

I'm already liking this journal! I love Sigur Rós, and that Blind Pilot track that you posted sounds good. I'll probably download the album later.

Also, it's good to know that there are some other Thrice fans here. Now I'm not as embarrassed.

I think Blind Pilot are much better live than on album, possibly because they cut the fluff out of the mix for the live set, leaving you with the worthwhile songs.

Sounds good. And you shouldn't be embarrassed for liking a band. I listen to a lot of stuff that a majority of people don't listen to, and I like it cuz I like it.

That's good to hear. I hope they would come to Seattle or something so I could catch a show of theirs, they seem like a band that would be enjoyable to see in concert.

They're from Portland, so I imagine Seattle is a likely destination. They don't seem to have written any new material since 2008 though, so I don't know if they'd be touring. Perhaps supporting.

Perhaps this year they'll release a new album. That'd be pretty cool.

Time for another journal entry. I don't believe I have covered this yet. Video game music, I am a humongous fan of it. Some of it I find incredibly relaxing, and some of it I find to be really cool. I wouldn't class myself as a gamer really, because I don't play games too often. The music however always draws me in no matter what the game is. Quite a few soundtracks that I really enjoy as well, such as:

Call of Duty: Black Ops (Multiplayer Screen)

Fable 3: Sanctuary

You're probably wondering why this journal entry is full of success. Well...i'll tell ya. I was rummaging through some old boxes of mine and I found a "boat load" of CD's. I've spent the past 2 days getting each and every one of them onto my laptop so that I have copies. Now, we're talking over 100 CD's to import into iTunes, and i'm sure you know how long it takes to import one CD at a time. Finally got down to the last CD about an hour ago, and it just felt ever so nice to put the CD's away and leave them where they were when I found them.

So yeah. SUCCESS!

I actually really enjoy the process of ripping and importing my music. Particularly in large quantities. I once purchased 40 CDs at once and it was a seriously great afternoon.
