Daft Punk - Homework

This is an absolutely fantastic record and I really wish I had given it more of a listen back when it was released. I suppose at that time I was at an age where I didn't really understand the appeal with this sort of music, but this is an absolutely outstanding listen right now, not to mention it has so many childhood memories linked to it. The intro Daftendirekt is one of the best electronic intros i've heard, and I have heard a lot of electronic records. I'm going to keep this brief, but I really am enjoying this right now.

In which I rant about things that ruined my day / caused me to waste my time

Temp agency rant:

I rarely ever rant about a company, and I rarely ever rant about it publicly, but I was so appalled at the service that I got today that I felt it was necessary to express it. To start off, I saw through Google that Advanced Staffing was a pretty good staffing agency, and they seemed to have a good reputation with places people into jobs / assignments that match people's experience and background, though that was not the case at all. I walked in feeling confident and ready to take on any job they could offer me, and I had thought they would offer me an office job because my resume states that my experience backs that up and would be a perfect fit, however, they felt it was appropriate to offer me a job as a "sorter" which if you're looking at it from my point of view, you think to yourself "oh hey, this is a mail sorting job, i'd be perfect for this" but instead it was as he described "splitting up garbage into 'garbage' and 'recyclables' " which was 1) completely insulting and 2) not even close to what the description of the job had led me to believe. So yeah, i'm sitting there filling out some forms, and they require me to place two references that would be able to back up my history of employment, but they felt it was necessary to call those people right then and there only to bother them during their work day to ask them a bunch of silly questions that had absolutely nothing to do with my experience and background.

Then it was time to interview with the branch manager who had discussed the position with me beforehand, as I walk into his office, the assistant that works there figured it was appropriate to tell me to "move out of her way" to hand files to the manager of the establishment, a simple "excuse me, please" would have been just fine, but no, her impatient bitch ass didn't want to wait a few seconds for me to sit down. Than she leaves, and as I am getting ready to sit down, the manager says to me "what kind of bag is that? is that a satchel or something" which I nervously answered, "yes, it lets me carry my stuff around", and he glares at me and says "that's great." I can feel he was already beginning to judge me without even giving me the chance to speak about my experience. Then gets to the actual interview, which involved him screaming at his office assistant to get some files, him taking personal phone calls, and telling me "i have other stuff to do." Here's the kicker, I had to sit there, anxiously wanting to get out of the beginning, as he was taking a personal phone call, it ended with "yeah, we'll get together at the bar for a couple of beers". All that was accomplished was that he photo copied my social security card, and my state ID, which he also had a few things to comment toward which included "did this idea get run over by a car or something?" and "this ID looks really old" which I responded "yeah, i've had a for a few years".

He then takes another call, because apparently interviewing me is not his priority at the moment, only to shoo me out of his office, he shuts his door to take the call, and I wait there for about 15 minutes to see if anybody is going to tell me what I have to do next, at that point I decided to just leave. Honestly, I was expecting something a little more formal, nothing along the lines of learning about his life after work, and I really don't see how it's appropriate that he can comment on my attire / merchandise, yet he allows yelling and folder throwing in the office. I really do feel that his treatment was unfair, and I do know that I will not be recommending their company, and I will not be working with them ever again.
