I've got a mind
I've got half a mind
To shut down the whole system at the spine
With fishing line

I'm really glad there's a grasp to grab
it's only a stab in a wet paper bag
is that so bad?

This song popped in my head after I woke up today. I've always loved Doug Martsch's delivery of those two lines above, so moving. Aided of course by the music. Then it basically turns into a jam song. The whole thing really wouldn't be out of place on the follow-up album, Perfect From Now On. I love the mostly fun vibe of this album but I always looked forward to this song coming on as it really packs a punch for me.

Built to Spill - "Stab" (There's Nothing Wrong With Love)

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
