the perfect playlist? im going to put together a playlist of my favourite songs which are general Electronica. i would like replys & opinions on it how i could improve, anything important ive missed, something shite been added in. im not neccesarily placing tunes together that 'fit' its all just thrown in and rumbled about, and in no particular order really. Also, its a playlist of songs that are thinking out of the box, if you get my drift. It's something that doesn't necessarily fit in with the artists trademark genre. something different. In your face songs. Track Number One. How could I start anywhere else other than Wolfgang Gartners - Wolfgangs 5th Symphony. This song is particuarly unique because it has taken a classical symphony and turned it into one kick ass electro/trance tune. Wolfgang Gartner has such a unique twist, he has been described as the next Deadmau5. Which I'm sure is probably the best compliment a Dj could recieve. All round excellent tune, very unusual. Not at all expected from an electro/trance Dj. Enjoy the tune! Track Number Two. A song I only heard recently, great nevertheless. I love it's raw beats, and unusual in your face beat. Moguai - Beatbox is unusual in the sense of its beat is so loud compared to the background beat, and had a steady regular rhythm, changing at unexpected times. That's probably what I like most about it, I'm not really into House music, so much but a few awesome tunes are produced, I'm not saying this is the best tune house has produced, its just unusual which this artist has tryed. I've found the song can be slightly annoying if you hear it too much, so take it in small doses! Track Number Three. This song I absolutely love, it's a perfect song for going out a drive to, the lyrics are simple, yet effective. I was addicted to it for a while, and while I'm listening right now I feel like I could just get up and dance about like a total idiot, with my curtains closed ofcourse, don't want anyone seeing me. Anyways, it's perfect for driving, clubbing, sitting in yourself writing a journal on musicbanter... All round good tune which I absolutely love, Marco V - Unprepared that is. Also I like how it kinda changes styles from a chillout beat to a full on bouncy one. Track Number Four. I love the part after the intro more than anything. It's just soooo, I don't really have the words, but it's amazing. Theres nothing better than the first time you hear this song, well in my case. I wanted the song to last forever or something. I also like how this one kinda changes styles aswell, from a "happy" melody to some sharp-ish electronic beats, this is by far one of my favourite songs. something tells me I already posted about this somewhere? anyways the tune itself. Oh and its called Judge Jules - Judgement Theme Track Number Five. Going into a much harder style here, I'd say it was Gabber/Hardstyle. I recently found out the vocals is infact a quote from a film I can't remember which member told me though. Anyways about the style of this tune, it's hard to determine cos some things that are classed as gabber are a pathetic excuse for UK hardcore never mind Gabber, and some are the true definition of Gabber meaning a masssssive bpm. I'd say this either fully fits into the Gabber genre of not at all. anyways enjoy, you primitive screwheads! the name of the song is Scott Brown - Boomstick, and can often be refered to as Neckbreaker, or This Is How We Do It. I used to be obsessed by this genre, so this is one of my favourites from that time and let me tell you its better than half the other shit in this scene. Scott Brown highly deserves a place in here. Anyways this song starts off with a normal beat nothing out of the ordinary, then as the song progresses, so does the bpm of it! the video has no relevance to the song.

Didn't know there was any Trance fans on these here boards. I'm something of a casual admirer, in that I fully embrace it when accompanied with the right club.
Unfortunately Gatecrasher has strayed away from Trance etc and the whole atmosphere is completely different in there compared to how it used to be...

I LOVE Wolfgang Gartner! Have you heard Fire Power? That song is craziness. I'm liking the Marco V! He's quite heavy into techno nowadays.. but I guess that's common. Lange & Andy Moor came out with a new track that's pretty damn heavy with techno influence. It seems that's the direction where a lot of trance producers are heading. Epic and Uplifting are going to Techno and Electro while Hard Trance and Tech Trance producers are going to Minimal and Tech House. It's a confusing time right now. Here's that track I mentioned

Never reviewed him so, here goes.... DEADMAU5 For Lack of a Better Name 1. FML 2. Moar Ghosts 'n' Stuff 3. Ghosts 'n' Stuff 4. Hi Friend! 5. Bot 6. Word Problems 7. Soma 8. Lack Of A Better Name 9. The 16th Hour 10. Strobe I like Deadmau5, infact I love Deadmau5. And you'd be stupid to think I never. Track One I find alright, what pisses me off about Deadmau5 and FML is that he uses it at almost every gig as his intro. I mean I'm not to annoyed about it, 'cau5 (see what I done there, harrr .) I don't go to every gig, infact I just missed one. But I could probably put a tenner on the first track being FML, so I think he's predictable. But being predictable isn't so bad if the tunes are an amazing outcome right? FML is without a doubt a good song. The start is slow (Perhaps why he likes it as an intro) with a good build up. The actual song (once it gets into it) is average, but in it's average-ness, it had some quality electric beats and a good bassline throughout, cant really argue with that. Track Two I find it strange that Joel (Deamau5's real name) placed Moar Ghosts 'N' Stuff as number two, instead of three. Maybe it's to do with the fact he likes jumbling everything up, by using "l33t" speak etc, on to the actual track, Moar Ghosts 'N' Stuff reminds me alot of Justice, and I think Deadmau5 has an overall resemblence to Justice. By being very electric ofcourse, I like how the song has particular climaxes and a few anti-climax's, I personally like Ghosts 'N' Stuff more than Moar Ghosts 'N' Stuff very similar songs, so I'm skipping three! Track Four It is sooo annoying. Take Hi Friend! off the cd, and it's a much better cd. Or infact take the Vocals away n it's an alright tune. Not the best but not the worst, the fucking vocals do my box in. Track Five Bot is generally really slow, and starts with long heavy beats, no complaints, it gets quicker and much more enjoyable towards the middle. Once it's past the middle it slows right down, and turns into this trance-y feeling. It's so awesome, then it builds back up into a techno-y tune again. Track Six & Seven I'm leaving out Track Eight The song the albums named after. For Lack of a Better Name I looooove this one , it makes me feel reallll happy, and I would dance like a total idiot infront of anyone, 'cause I wouldn't give a shit. It's just one of those songs that slightly raises the hairs on your arms, in the right atmosphere ofcourse. and it's getting late and I'm getting tired, and I started this about 1hr ago, n I'm sick of the sight of it, so I'll come back and edit more in. (:

Never even heard of deadmau5 before but I've taken your advice and I'm now listening to this album on spotify - the title track is sounding fantastic on my huge soundsystem!

I just knew that Deadmou5 is coming to Leb on the 15th of December. Tho I'm not much of a fan, I guess that's the first DJ concert that I considered going to.
Still haven't heard For Lack of a Better Name ... it does seem really good from your review.
