Glad GB was ale to help you retrieve your post. That happened to me as well and some of the stuff I had to completely rewrite including a review of Maiden's "Number of the Beast" which I KNOW was not as good as the original review I wrote but I had tried everything and eventually had to just recap as much of it as I could remember. Bloody word processors: give me a pen and paper anytime, er I mean quill and parchment!
I know! I actually enjoy spending time on my journal and haven't done so in so long because of minor problems here and there but all you guys need to know is that I'm sorted again so you can look forward to more crappy reviews and terrible grammar .

Quill and parchment hahaha, you're some guy Trollheart. Anyway, on to my next review!!

MY FIRST FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE.

So it's Thursday and I'm getting geared up to leave Glasgow the following morning to go to a festival called T In The Park which is in Kinross, Scotland.

It's been a ****ing cracking week so far with the weather reaching highs of 30 degrees during the day, so I decided to ditch the wellies, ditch all my tracksuit bottoms and jumpers to make an easier journey for myself. I have all my alcohol poured into plastic bottles and packed into my granny trolley (see below) this was my device for transporting the heavy **** in so I didn't need to carry it and the wheels were big enough that it could be pulled easily on uneven terrain.

So I've got all my **** and I'm starting to get excited, we all meet at my friends flat (conveniently next to the train station) to get a drink and then leave together to get our bus on Friday morning.

So we get on our bus and I'm nervous as fuck, actually starting to feel a little sick, I dunno if it's just because I've never been to anything like this before or if it was because I was excited but I was more nervous travelling an hour on a bus in the same country than I was travelling 11hrs to China at 17 without my parents.

The bus has been driving through hills and countryside for what feels like an eternity and all of a sudden... WE CAN SEE ARENAS, FUCK YEA. At this point I feel about 5 seconds away from projectile vomiting all over myself or some other poor sod on the bus.

I get all my stuff, get my ticket and passport ready, go through all the gates, get my camping band on and I'M IN. I FEEL ON TOP OF THE WORLD MOTHERFUCKER. All we've got to do now is find a spot to camp on then I'm off a wander to see what this place is all about.

I wander down to the arena once our tents are ready and stuff and I catch The Proclaimers (Who are actually singing in the photo I posted at the top) on the Main Stage as they kicked the festival off. Sang my wee heart out to some of their music then headed back to the campsite to meet my boyfriend, sat and got wasted all day until 10pm when Calvin Harris was playing on the mainstage so we went down there, I was so drunk I don't remember any acts I seen on Friday night and I have a habit of wandering around alone, so I wandered then got lost and my bright spark idea was to go back to my tent to wait on my friends and I got lost in the campsite... Que 3 hours of me wandering around crying hysterically because I thought I was gonna get mugged or somethin.

I then pretty much ruined the whole of Saturday for myself because I was so hungover from being white boy wasted all day on Friday, so I basically lived off icepoles and had around 5 vodkas to keep my hangover at bay. I also done the water run for everybody (mostly me) and filled up every plastic bottle I had with water.

I later wandered down to the slam tent to see Maya Jane Coles, one of my favourites for the weekend, so I go into the slam tent and just stand there, not enjoying myself in the slightest so I decide to go outside for a cigarette with my friend Claire. While we were getting our smoke on a group of about 12 people got pounced on by the police and began getting searched, which scared the living **** out of me because it was random and I had weed on me, anyway these people being searched had loads of cocaine & ecstasy on them, something the festival was heavily cracking down on because at the time there was loads of fatal ecstasy pills going around called "green rolexes" so they probably wouldn't have minded a bit of weed anyway.

Anyway, I go back to the tent and catch up on some important Z's I missed throughout the night. It gets to around 5pm and Snoop doggy dogg is on the main stage so I grab my boyfriend and head down to see him. Guy was the epitome of cool. He got cut off 2 or 3 times for shouting "smoke weed everyday" and some stuff of that nature which I thought was pathetic because the air was rife with the smell of tweed and they surely expected that? There was literally joints getting passed everywhere. Dynamite. Anyway Snoop sang mostly older stuff and he was pretty good but he didn't sing any of his own songs really, it was all dre's or some other collaboration.

Then I saw Rihanna who was acting as if she had been roofied before coming on stage so I seen her, she was alright, she's a relatively good entertainer and I have a massive girl-crush on her so I enjoy those aspects of the show then I just went home because I was not in the zone for partying at all.

Sunday comes around and I've reinvented myself , I come out of my tent like a new woman and hang around with some of my mates who stayed up through the night and begin drinking. I then realise it's only 6am and if I wanna make 5pm I'd best stop until lunch time. Lunchtime comes around and I couldn't be in a better mood. So I headed down early alone to catch Ocean Colour Scene but made sure I was wasted before I left because arena prices were extortionate (£4.50 FOR A PINT OF FREAKING TENNENTS) so I can't remember much besides the fact they were good.

Went to catch Stereophonics at night and while I was waiting frank ocean was on, he almost sent me to sleep he was so ****ing boring. Stereophonics came on and I lost my voice through singing my little heart out.

I wandered tents for a bit because there was nobody in particular I wanted to see while we waited on the Killers coming on last. So they eventually come on stage and I think we watched them for around 15mins before we ****ed off to campsite because we were more interested in cheap warm booze and could hear them from there anyway . I got absolutely wasted just as everyone came home from the arena and I had the best drug-fuelled night of my life. Found some marshmallow vodka in a mates tent which got necked raw. I then rolled a joint and went to sleep in my bfs tent.

When I got up on Monday I was still drunk right up until I got home. We got our bus home, then the train back to the town we're from anddd then we decided it would be a good idea to go to the pub so we got a pub lunch and a few drinks then I went home for a much needed shower and sleep.

Sounds like you had a wicked time. It's funny that you used the term "white boy wasted". When I was at my first festival, guys had on shirts and hats that said "white girl wasted". I should take your idea and write about my first festival that I had over labor day weekend but I have a few other entries to write up first then I'll get to it. They didn't let us stay the night on the grounds. We had to go home at the end of each day.
