Default Conan's Completely Original give me an album and I'll review it

That's right. Since jackhammer is too lazy to update his thread, I've taken matters into my own hands. Give me an album (and do please give me the album) and I will write up on it. Any genre, I'm open to practically anything (with the exception of most extreme metal genres, but run it by me, I might get into it).

So go ahead, I'm game.

Ritual of Battle

By Army of the Pharaohs

Submitted by FaSho

First let me start off by saying that the technical talent of everybody involved here was off the hook. Each rapper segued into the next skillfully, and their flows were passionate and in your face. The sampling is another thing about this album that really got me. The samples used were beautiful at times and the voice-overs added a nice comedic touch (they used voice overs from old bible dramas and even a couple from Planet of the Apes, which had me laughing).

Lyrically it seemed like your normal hardcore rap music, lots of motha****as and n*ggas and bragging and general songs of superiority, excuse me if I'm ignorant... it's just my impression.

I appreciate the lack of filler in this album, pro cause I just listened to Life After Death and The Slim Shady LP beforehand .

Anywho I really enjoyed it, became sort of an instant favorite. Thanks FaSho!

9.0/10

Why would that be? Don't do yourself a disservice and keep at it. Although I have been thinking about resurrecting my own thread now that I have cleared myself of a lot of backlogged albums.

Glasvegas - Glasvegas

Wow. Considering I've long wanted to take a shovel to The Proclaimer twin's heads it's scary how much I loved this album. But then again let me consider the facts... simple, well made, emotional pop music with a charming (and not annoying) Scottish accent vocal - what's not to love?

The opening track is a stand out, it pulled me into the rest of the album very well - I certainly didn't have any trouble getting into it right off the bat. The singing of the lyrics to "You are my Sunshine" near the end of the song really got me, more for personal reasons than anything else but still, I nearly started to tear up... okay I full blown near cried.

That being said there are a few bones of contention I have with this album. Like the rediculously unnessicary "here's proof we're not a boy band" Go Square Go. The language in that track didn't come off as powerful or emotional, just weak and a little bit silly.

Still, I loved it.

Check out the Cosmic Rough Riders, a simular group from Glasgow.

Don't even get me started on them. Just believe me I hate them more than you ever will

Anyways nice review, I think I have heard one songs by Glasvegas and I liked it, so I might check out the album.

I'd like you to review the new Flaming Lips album, Embryonic. So I can decide if I should get it
