Diafana Krina - Love Will Call Again (2008) First of all it's to be pointed out that they are a Greek band and they sing (quite rightly so) in their native language. Obviously this dampens the listening pleasure a little as I don't speak Greek! The album is very frustrating. There are some fantastic proggy elements to their music but just as they start to get into a groove it seems to dissipate on a few tracks which is a shame because they are a talented group and I enjoyed plenty of it. Unfortunately the vocals at times annoyed me and not just because of the language. They are not mellow enough at times. I really think that this band are only a few steps away from being really really good and I will definitely listen again because there seems to be a lot going on. They sound like a mellow version of Porcupine Tree at times so that definitely helps! 6.5/10

well, I'm glad that you pointed a few points where you gave me at least the impression that you kind of liked it, cause I thaught you would, after seeing your last.fm account. the truth is that compared to their previous work is kind of a weaker album. as for the vocals, is one of the things I mostly like about them, but off curse I know what they are talking about.actually most of their lyrics are poems by Uranis (greek poet who lives in Paris). anw I'm pretty excited about the fact that you compared them with PT and called them prog, cause that's a kind of a debate I'm having with my brother...
